When these frogs are in the water, their territoriality calls sound somewhat more resonant than they do when on land, as this one was at the time it was recorded. The mating call of the Pine Woods Treefrog, Hyla femorails, may be heard in the background. Recorded at 9:10 p.m. on August 24, 1954, two miles north of Orange Springs, in Putnam County, Florida.
